The choice is between the two above nylon string models, as shown here: http://www.ovationguitars.com/?fa=detail&mid=2303 http://www.ovationguitars.com/?fa=detail&mid=2301 Unfortunately for me, I have no possibility of hearing either model before I order. I'd like to know what you think about the possible sound differences and projection qualities of either guitar, when played unplugged . Both have deep contours, but the Classic has a top of AAA Cedar, the Artist is solid spruce. There is a difference in bracing, but I don't know if this is significant. I play fingerstyle only. The other differences (frets to neck, width at the nut, etc.) are less important to me. I'm looking for the best sound, which means sweet, balanced, and projecting well. Until now I have played on a 1613. I'd very much appreciate advice on this. Thanks, Joe

And when you've been around long enough, you start to get an idea about which members have similar preferences regarding sound, playability, etc. If you hear something often enough on this forum, does this make it true? Folks I've come to trust opinion-wise have independently stated 12-fret/cedar/nylon is something they like the sound of, and that's good enough for me. :)

Add to that one of the most beautiful tops I've ever seen (and in perfect shape after 27 years, and one of the most comfortable guitars I've ever played. And after 4 1/2 years Remy, I think it's safe to say that it's your guitar now. May it give you many many years of enjoyment.....
