I use a Fender Acoustasonic 30 at chruch. This is one wonderful sounding little amp. The sound of my old Custom Legend through it is just great. I can't say enough about how much I love that little amp. :)

Roland JC120 is good, a Trace 30 or 50 watt are also good. The Ashdown series work good too

Dr.Tom, I reiterate... I would go with the Peavey PA heads. It depends on how much you want to spend of course...and how much attention you want or need to pay to the PA while your performing. For simplicity, price, performance, and reliability Peavey is a leader. Unless you have an engeneer or a soundman and have more money than you know what to do with,I would stick to the Peavey of which you already say you love the sound of. Plus your mikes etc. will use the same system so you won't need a separate one. I've been playing out for over 40 years and I've never found a room or club with "ideal" sound accoustics. The simpicity and reliability of your equipment will help to allow you to play with enjoyment. This will help you to sound your best. Keep Pickin' Bob

Can it be that I'm the first to say SWR Cali Blonde (unless I missed someone)??? I *love* that amp. Genz Benz sound real good as well. The Shen Jr's are on closeout (cab is being redesigned to kick back) so they are a heck of a deal right now.
