From what I have seen and heard the VXT looks and sounds pretty sweet.

Any idea on what the price point might be?

After the initial excitement passed, I had to wonder, "What would the VXT provide that my Godin xtSA wouldn't?" Probably nothing, except for simpler controls for blending the magnetic and piezo pickups--a single knob rather than separate volume controls. In that sense, I think the VXT would be more like the Godin Solidac.

I'd love to try a Cort M900 as a hybrid guitar. Does anyone know where to buy one, besides Ebay?

The VXT has Fishman's proprietary imaging process onboard. Same as used in the Aura pedals and Ovation VIP preamp. Right now it's the only guitar of it's type to have this.

there is a stereo mono switch when you switch it to stereo and use a trs cable with 2 1/4in jacks you can put one in an acoustic amp and and one for electric
otherwise just use the blend on the guitar to get pure acostic or pure electric

I was messing around with the Fender Strat VG at GC earlier tonight and at least from the videos, the controls on the VXT look alot simpler than the ones on the VG.

The recent posts here and on another thread have hit the guitars this will be matched against.
A parker, I forget which one, the taylor, the godin and the fender. This will be fun.

I hope the VXT does well for Ovation, but I just can't get excited about it as I've never been a fan of hybrid guitars.

People have for years been trying to get one guitar to do everything. The strat and VXT might be getting close but how much enjoyment will that give you sitting on your porch with just your instrument and your fingers to make the noise?

Point to cwk2!
I enjoy my little fender amp and OP-Pro and want to own something with the VIP someday soon. Although I can appreciate all the science and complexities of running any number of stomp boxes, I'm glad I can do without them.
