Location: japan | Unfortunately, I don't think i can play tremollo.
But I think i can pretend.
I did learn by myself.
Anybody who plays with fingers?
Tremollo can be learned by myself? |

or using a whammy bar?
I think you mean left hand technique.
Whichever, of course you can teach yourself. Just watch someone who does it well (say BB King if your talking about vibrato) and then do it. Eventually you'll develop your own style and method.
I've found that if you fake (pretend) you know what you're doing, it's just as good as knowing what you're doing. |

Location: Yucaipa, California | ..classical tremolo is striking the string(s) with the fingers of the plucking hand (i,m,r) in rapid sequential succession producing a sound similar (but not matching) that of the mandolin "vibrato".... |

Okanawan Samisen players also use vibrato as I understand it. That is, a left hand technique. One of the best exponents is BB King.
For the right handed technique ... see above. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | I just finished reading "Tales of the Alhambra" by Washington Irving on the way back from Spain a couple weeks ago. First book I've read in years, probably since the History of Ovation book. Thanks for asking and answering the same question I had. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | I sent the link to my daughter in Granada. I should have paid more attention to the titles on the CDs I looked at when we were there. I'm sure there were a few with this song. I'll have her pick one up. |
