Tuning Party:

Mike had about a dozen-and-a-half top-of-the-line Ovations/Adamases lined-up along the walls of one of the rooms in his house . . .

All JUST taken out of storage.
All detuned.
All devoid of batteries.

LOL!!!
(at least they had strings on 'em;-)

The hotel was really cool, and really cheap ($69).
Located right at the foothills of the Rockies, nice indoor pool, and a really nice bar w/live Blues Thursdays thru Sundays. Jeanette and I "hit it off" with the management, and I'm pretty sure we could convince him t'use the stage for jams before the RealMusicians show up . . .

I was thinking that it's "somewhat" centrally-located (to the region) and it might be cool t'do a SouthWest Gathering (maybe in the Fall when the aspen trees have turned).

Maybe get the folks from Colorado, Arizona, California & Texas t'gether . . .

(well, . . . maybe not the Texans . . .) :D

Fall would be a splendid time of year, and I'll be happy to assist in the planning effort. However, we'll need to be real cautious not to plan it on a CU football home game weekend.

I'm REALLY envious!
....Why can't I find your kind of party/tuning/happening/fun-time over here in the UK??!!
Sounds as though you guys know how to enjoy yourselves and I just wish I wasn't so far away!
Cheers,
Dave.

Randy, of course you are more than welcome to come over and entertain. Maybe you can figure out how to make it a tax write off!

Am I the only one here thinking a nationwide tour of those who can go to at least the state next to them would be a very cool thing?

as CEO (and only employee) of Premiere Video and Entertainment Services, i imagine i could get quite creative in figuring out a way to write a videography and entertainment trip to colorado off.

If you need an accountant to explain how that works, Randy, I'd be glad to meet you halfway...say, oh, I don't know...COLORADO?
