is a fireplace in ft. myers, florida solely for romantic ambience or is it otherwise practical?

A "fireplace" in Florida is a euphemism for a crematorium . . .

I knew it was just a matter of time before someone started on my fireplace. We actually use it quite often during the winter months. I know some of you (like Norse) will scoff at this, but if it gets below 60 deg. we fire it up, even if we have to open the windows. BTW Grif, the ser. # is 301868. Thanks for reminding me to register it.

grif,
it's all relative. 60 degrees in hawaii feels quite chilly to the locals who live here. i guess the same would be true for tropical florida. there are a few fireplaces here in the islands. they are not used for cremations though, like jim's. here, we just toss 'em into the volcano.

Sounds like a plan. It''s got to be cheaper than firewood!

Jim, if you're using XP, try this - Image Resizer.

Works with a right click in explorer, gives you options on size and gives you a resized copy so it doesn't mess with the original (unless you tell it to).

I've downloaded it still can't figure out how to use it.
Or you could just open it in Paint and use Attributes/Stretch-Skew.
Or you could just post the link to it.

Can't help you there Mike, I've got 4 different image programs on my computer, and every one is different. The Microsoft paint program is very easy to resize with. I've just been uploading my pictures to shutterfly, and they automatically resize them small enough to post.
