I really like it but have a bigger problem with the killing of the turtle to do it. It just isn't right.

It would make a nice set with that frog pick-holder that was being discussed a while ago.

In the instrument section of the Metropolitan, they have a guitar-like instrument who's "resonator" is goatskin stretched over a human skull with the top sawn off . . .

Nah, it was a SLOW blues. But then it probably has a slow neck too.

I like how the neck pokes out where the turtle's neck was.

That's what I was thinking... killing the turtle may not be so wrong if you eat him. I bet since that neck probably plays terribly, set it up for slide and you've got a grade A conversation piece.

I suspect this violates ebay rules about items using animal parts. If this was any species of sea turtle it is definately not allowed

The shell is from a Snapping Turtle...maybe an alligator Snapper but doubt it as they are not indiginous to Canada...I used to catch these when I was a boy...somewhere I have apic of me at 7 holding one up by the tail...It was bigger than me then. I never ate them...just caught them, showed them to Mom who always freaked out, and released them...I did this with snakes and all kinds of turtles, frogs, lizards and salamanders! We didn't have game boy back in the day...you had to amuse yourself! Come to think of it, guess thats why I started to play guitar! That and the Beatles!
