I'm new to the OFC.
For most of my life I've played Taylor, Guild, etc. My grandfather was a musician and in spite of his traditional outlook on so many things he used to be fascinated by Ovations in the 1970's. I remember being with him in a guitar shop when I was a boy. He reached for an O and said, "funny-looking guitar, but sounds and plays great!"
Last week I picked-up a 1996 Collectors Edition. I haven't seen much info. on it. I'd be intersted in hearing other people's impressions of the Collectors 1996.

I don't have any direct experience with the 96, though it does have a fairly rare HexFx pre-amp. |
