Al, would your thesis also be on zodiak dust clouds? Isn't that pretty much what everybody was talking about at Woodstock? due to a ton of problems including racism, sexism, wrong socioeconomic class, religious bias, they just plain didn't like the way I looked and a ton of other reasons, I was never allowed to finish my thesis. I came extremely close and if I was from a different socio economic level I would have sued and it would now be called Alpep University as opposed to Rutgers,(yes my case was that strong) but you only learn these things as time passes. my topic was the distinction of school activities as "work" or "Play" by preschool and kindergarten students. The premise was that if an activity is presented as work it was given a higher priority in the child's mind and it may also cause some children to have a mental block against completion of the activity. Therefore if everything was looked at as a play activity you could eliminate bias against academic subjects. well me and my "mentor" (and I use the term lightly) could not see eye to eye and with repeated attempts and finally I just demanded I was assigned a topic, I never went forward. Life got in the way. I had a major motorcycle accident in 89 and sue almost lost her leg and I realized that it was not meant to be. but alas, tis was another lifetime ago. and with some of the comments about how I know nothing about kids etc and my strong feelings about parrental responsibility, maybe it is just all for the best. now I remain just an idiot that sells gear for a living.

Now, 25 years later, I am just "The WalMart Greeter of Mental Health" in south-central Washington State. No real regrets, either.

Let's just say that RU will not call me for a donation any time soon. it seems that we need to go down different paths and they end at different places, some good some bad. Although I tease about it, I am rather pleased with the place these paths of my past life have left me.
