Location: south east Michigan | On the way to the movies last night I noticed yard sale full of instruments. There had to be over 50 pieces. A stand up bass, flutes, violins, dulcimers, ukes, acoustics, & electrics.
There was one Celebrity and two Fender electrics. The majority of the guitars were dusty old off brand names.
There were no hidden treasures to be found. I think this guy knew his stuff and would not let anything valuable slip through.
I almost took something home. There were a half dozen examples of this instrument and one of them looked good an played real nice. Very low action and an attactive wood body. Made by Kay. It was not tagged with a price but I had one in mind when I asked the guy, "How much for this old thing?". If the price had been close, it would have been mine.
Yep... I would have brought home my very own 5 string banjo. |
