Location: San Francisco, CA | Has anyone played one of these guitars? I love the look and the concept of the sculpted back.
More specifically, is the tone "quackish" or is it pretty pure?
Any other hands-on info most appreciated!
Thanks,

Location: SoCal | They sound like really good Ovations. I don't know what you mean by ""quackish" or is it pretty pure"? Can you define your terms? |

Location: closely held secret | A duck walks into a bar and asks the bartender for some quackers. The bartender explains that the bar doesn't have any quackers. The next day, the same duck walks into the bar and asks the bartender for some quackers. The bartender again explains that the bar doesn't serve quackers.
Sure enough, the very next day, the duck again walks into the bar and asks for some quackers. The bartender screams at the duck, "If you come in here one more time, I'm going to nail your beak into the wall! "
A few days pass, and then the duck walks into the bar again. The bartender notices the duck and says, "I'm warning you!"
The duck replies, "Do you have a hammer?"
The bartender replies, "No!"
The duck asks, "Do you have any nails?"
The bartender replies, "No!"
The duck grins and asks, "Do you have any quackers?" |

Location: closely held secret | The OP-Pro and Ovation pickup deliver a pretty natural tone. If this guitar has the XLR output, even better.
Nothing sounds as natural as a miced setup, but they don't sound 'quackish' to my ears. |

Location: Portland, OR | I bought a 2078LX a few months back and absolutely love it.. It replaced an older Legend, and it compeltely blows it away. It feels great to play, and I think was an absolute steal for $1500 on sale.. I prefer the tone over many guitars i've listened to in the 2k/3k price range. I have not ever played it amped, and probably won't any time soon.. I think its a great acoustic instrument. I'm using elixer nanoweb lights and I'm really happy with the overall tone. |

Location: Phoenix AZ | I've owned two of them. Very nice instruments which I think anyone would enjoy. I don't know about quackiness because I've never plugged them in. Acoustically they sound like a typical higher end Ovation guitar (nice). The comfort and setup/playability are top notch. Dave |

Location: Orange County, California | Love mine. If anything it may be too nice for me. I loaned mine to my Bro-in-law to record tracks for his latest CD. It's kinda strange music, but you can hear the Guitar on a couple of tracks on his Myspace
He ran it directly into a little Behringer mixer, and straight into the computer, no EQ (other than on the OP-Pro), no effects. |
