Heeyyyy. My names Dave and I play Ovations (Hi Dave!)

Anyhow, I have two guitars. One is a cheapo Ovation Celebrity. The other one I paid a bit for a few years ago. It is a Bright Orange, Ovation Custom Balladeer 1860 (per the sticker inside the guitar). I remember when I bought this I had a hard time looking it up - I think it is fairly old. Anyone have any info on this.. links? sales prices etc. I'm looking to get a new guitar. Lemmme know! Your help is truly appreciated.

Regards,

Dave

Look for the serial number inside up by the neck. Click on the reference link above and look up the year it was made by the serial number.

G'day Dave and welcome from downunder. I have a black 1860 which I purchased new in '94. You can see pics of it my gallery if you're interested as I still can't manage to post pics here.

About six months ago a local music shop offered me $400 (about $320 US I think) as a trade in but I decided to keep it.

I believe the 1860 was discontinued and the 1862 took its place.

I love the guitar but the shallow bowl means it really has to be plugged in if you want to make any noise. I think there are a couple of other OFC members who own 1860s.

PM me if you want any more details. My knowledge is limited but I'll help if I can.
