Found a complete washburn electric package on Ebay for $23.00 plus shipping, so I couldn't resist. Heres a couple of pics of the installation in my Koa.

Turned out real nice, and it sounds good too. (plus, it has a tuner :D )

Neat .... will it relay NOAA storm/weather emergency warnings, too?

Discretion is the better part of valor. I'm short on either, so envy those who take on a project like that. Looks like it turned out great.

Ya know, I was thinking the same thing after seeing the pictures. It doesn't look that complicated in person.

I install LRBAGGS pickups all the time, and often on high end guitars but i don`t have the nerve to cut a hole like that. Clean work, hope you enjoy.

Well, it really isn't an expensive guitar, so I didn't have any jitters doing it. It only cost 300.00 new, but it looks more expensive than that. All Koa with curly maple binding on the body and neck. Looks nice, plays easy and sounds real good*.

(*except when I'm playing it...)

Thanks Mike. I don't think I would attempt it on someone else's guitar, but since it wasn't an Ovation, I figured I didn't have much to loose. ;)
Check that, actually I did the same thing on my 1115 to make it a 1615 when I installed an OP24+C in it.

Good job!
No balls, no sawdust!

I'm holding out for an iPhone with a tuner and GarageBand IV.

Shoot, maybe I'll just need one with an IV by the time I get to it

Sweet Jim! I would not try that on a $20 guitar. I was really amazed to see a 1/4 and an XLR jack. Nice get friend....and great job!

OMA, plug a microphone cord into the 3 prong and into the mic input on your amp. You will also need to put a plug in the 1/4 jack. The XLR output is much cleaner than the 1/4.

Thats my "grass cuttin" hat. (yes,a "pith helmet") It gets pretty hot here in the summer, and I usually have to cut the grass about every 4 days or it takes over the house. (stinkin tropical climate)

Gary, you need to borrow a bush hog from work if you're going to let it go that long! :D

Actually, I was thinking more like, buying a goat(or two) instead of borrowing a brush hog. :D
