Now available on Craig's List in Denver. The seller says it is a Pacemaker, but I'm not sure since I thought Pacemakers didn't include electrics. This one is reported to have electrics and appears to have the stacked knobs. He says the label reads 1615-4. His price is $300 with the case and he says it is negotiable. Sounds reasonable for an acoustic/electric slothead 12 with case. Sorry, but his pic was very low res.

Brad, Pacemakers certainly did contain Electronics (1615's)...I bought my first of three in 1976 and played it until I went to the Elite 1758-6 in 1988...They are great guitars and were built like a tank! One of the best 12's ever made!

Hi There,

This is my first time posting. I'm an Ovation newbie.
I just bought a 1982 1615 Pacemaker and it does have the electronics, although I probably won't use them. She has some finish cracks and she needed some new strings. I was sooo happy that somebody else put them things on! I'm pretty pleased with "Pace" so far. Now I'm just waiting for the strings to stop stretching.

I got to where I could change a complete set, stretch them, and retune during a 20 minute break between sets! Could probably still do it; I changed the strings on Woz's 1688 in just about that amount of time at the lobby during the tour this year. Practice, Practice...
