I just got my '69 1115 back from CT. The action on the old neck was real high (probably needed a neck reset) and my fat fingers don't work so well on a wide neck, so I had a narrow 6 string neck put on. Kind of like a 97 Collectors. As usual, they went way beyond expectations, refinishing the top, replacing the rosette, making a 6 string version of the winged bridge and re-texturing the bowl. Also unexpected were the abalone inlays on the neck, and ebony tuner buttons. It's like a new guitar! I'll post pictures in a couple days.

Hey Randy, I'd like to see that. I just got my 1537 back, and they did a stellar job on that too. I wouldn't hesitate to send a guitar back to them for any repair.

Believe me, I know how great they are! I sent it in with instructions to basically make it new. It was already in pristine shape, so I knew it wouldn't take much. All they did was dress the frets and do a setup. I know it's a matter of opinion, but this and the 1614 are my absolute favorite guitars.

I have no problem with what Moody says, just the fact that he says it at all. Dave

I just noticed that they strung it with Adamas strings. My last guitar sent to the factory came back with EXP strings. Is it because it's a slothead, maybe? Anyone else had this experience? What came on the OFC guitars?

Sorry But... Is that a New neck/headstock/tuners? Cuz there are alot of nicks and scratches on the tuners ...

Sorry to point that out, but it is a huge, finely detailed photo :(

They usually send them back with D'Addario strings, unless you specify a lighter gauge (like 10's) then they use Adamas strings. (in my experience anyway)

How much does the Mothership typically charge for common repairs / set up? Seems like a nice option, that isn't widely known about.
