Hi, I am new on the Forum and looking forward to exchanging insights and information with you guys.

I have a question about my 1970-72 Classic Balladeer. A previous owner substituted the original single black tuners with the 2x3 silver tuners we know for example from the 1624.

It's not a must but I would be glad to have the original tuners on the guitar again. Where can I get them?

Here's my Ovation stable:

1970-72 Classic Balladeer
1977 1118 GC 12string
1979 1127 GC Artist
1980 1614 Electric Folklore Sunburst
1981 1619 Custom Legend
1982 1624 Country Artist
1983 1674 Country Artist Cutaway
1983 1537 Elite

Thanks for any hints!

Welcome,
I have upgraded you to full member and moved your post here to the General Forum where more people can respond. There are people like Alpep in our group that have New Old Stock of many tuners. I'm sure they'll chime in.

For the tuners, call Al Pepiak at Lost Art Instruments. Here's a link to his facebook page that has his phone number https://www.facebook.com/LostArtVintage/

If he doesn't have them, check with My Dusty Guitar at https://www.mydustyguitar.com/

One of them should have what you need......

Welcome in, Highwayman. My fave in your stable is the 1983 1537 Elite. I'm sure the leads mentioned above will find you some optimum tuners for your 70's classic.
