It's a little too "quiet" for most of our gigs.

Yeah, it's in my rotation. There's some great stuff on that. I've been reading the Goodman biography "Facing The Music" and listening to a lot of his stuff. The dvd Live From Austin is outstanding (there are several of them on ebay and well worth the money) and I've been playing around with The Dutchman but have trouble making it thru the tune w/o crying. I'm probably more of a "City of New Orleans" kinda guy.
I was definitely thinking that you could do The Dutchman justice and that it should be a staple of your solo gigs. |
