Can I assume this is a 1773ax?

There were a few Balladeer and Elite AX models with a "Special" designation in 2005 only that were made in New Hartford which are the exception and may have been the designs that the later mass produced AX series was based on. And I'm with NerdyDave... if it plays well, sounds well, feels well and makes you happy, then it really doesn't matter if you paid top price for a brand new guitar from a dealer, or found it laying on the ground after washing out of a sewer pipe.
