Location: Birmingham, AL | Have a question about the old pickup system for the 70's Ovations. Recently bought a 1973 Artist A/E sans the electronics. I found a pickup system for what the seller says was for a 70's Pacemaker. Has only the volume control no tone control. I installed it in the guitar and it sounds very nice! Lots of bass and balance. Doesn't feed back even at volume 10. just wondering if the preamp internal EQ for the 12 string was different vs. the 6 string. Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Location: Birmingham, AL | That's good to know. I didn't realize how nice those older pickup systems sound. I rescued this guitar only have about 150 dollars in it, including the pickup system. Had thought about passing it on but may have to keep it for just a little while. |
