| Melissa Etheridge performing on The Today show this morning, playing a 12-string. Looked like a deep burgandy, bass side epaulets, but not her signature model, since it had a slot head. Custom shop? |

Would probably be a killer of a guitar. In my opinion U681-12 is the top dog of Adamas 12's and can you imagine what a south-side-only version would sound like? Man oh man.

Saw "Rascal Flatts" on the country music channel yesterday using a VXT. It sounded good! |

2. Its not a 12 fret, but a 14 fret with the big Melisa symbol at the 12 fret
3. No sign of the OP-range pre-amp "big knob" on top, suggesting its a Optima laden version of the 1598 MERB but with no treble side sound holes...certainly not a standard issue MERB for sure which do have the eps on the southside. |

| The video link on Tiednbound's post isn't what I saw on the Today show this AM. The concert footage definitely shows her playing a flat-top; now I'm doubting myself a little, but what struck me from the segment on the Today show was what I was sure was a slothead, and that struck me as really odd. (BTW, she played just before 9AM, when the "regular" Today show ends, and before the "extended" segment starts, from which the video interview in Tidenbound's link was taken). |
