I was listening to this record from 1976 (for the younger members: yes, a real vinyl record; on a real turntable) and saw this photo inside. Pacemakers were a large part of Mason's stage show then...he also used a reverse Firebird...thought I'd share it...I count three O's on stage...

The guitars are wonderful!

The pant-suits are scary though.

Let's see, dress-right, dress-left, dress-up, TBD, dress-right...

1976 was the era of liesure suits.

Fashion condsiderations aside, it was a fun time. I was attending St. John's U and I saw Dave Mason's show back then at the college. He did play a 12 string Ovation. I'm not sure if it was a Pacemaker. The Legend and Custom Legend 12 strings were slot-head back then.

These were Pacemakers: single volume knob...carved bridge and no abalone trim...I met him in 1975 at a concert in Phoenix...got to actually play one of his Pacemakers...Loggins and Messina also used a Pacemaker as well as other O's. If the Picture was bigger (100 kb limit) you could see the distinguishing features of the O's...BTW, that influenced me to buy my first Pacemaker in early 1976: for the first Silk and Steel Band tour; a 1115-4 w/a Bill Lawrence pup in the soundhole: traded up to a 1615-4 in early '77. Great guitar!

At the SJU show that I saw (1977?) Dave Mason was the opening act for Kenny Loggins.

I had one of those Bill Lawrence soundhole pups back then too.

Upon second look...(and how i hate the old video's penchant for close ups of face/head/...and little or no instruments)...but I have to admit Cliff; I think you're right here...come to think of it, I did play this in E...been a while...
