Noticed this 1115 on Reverb:

https://reverb.com/item/15854072-ovation-pacemaker-1115-4-12-string-...

Serial Number K 166. Has Both paper label model/serial number and the silver model number oval foil label.

Don't think I've seen both on the same guitar. Opinions??

Thought about getting it for a project since there appears some structural issues on the bass side of the neck block.
May be able to get it cheaper.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I don't know about the dual labeling then may have used back then.. but it looks like a reasonable deal, especially if you can get it for less. Too bad it doesn't have a case, so you end up taking your chances on their "pro packing" shipment.

There are no listings of "K" serial numbers in the FAQ section,I wonder if this is one of the first production models with the silver label and they were using up the paper labels for the serial numbers.

2WD-- I have a 3-Plank 1111 with a white label with a K prefix serial number that Beal estimates was made in 1970 or earlier.
I also had a 1121 with a white label and an M prefix without a silver label.

My guess would be that the Pacemaker might have been back for service, maybe a Neck Reset.
With a Neck Reset, it might have gotten a New Bowl with the Silver Label and they saved the paper label.
When I sent a 1981 Pacemaker back to the MotherShip in 2007 I got a New Bowl and Top, but they put the old Silver Label back in.
Meanwhile, I am surprised that nobody has bought that yet.

270.- for a guitar like that???? I can´t understand why anyone discusses about it instead of GRABBING this instantly.YOu should visit Europe and you will find that you´d have to pay this for a CASE of that period.

For about 300 more you can pick them up most of the year in good to very good condition.
