Location: United Kingdom | On Ovation models with 'external' (outies) epaulets top and bottom is it normal to get the lower front/top edges of the epaulets wearing thinner/tapering due to plectrum downstrokes?
Is there any way to repair these apart from replacement? Can replacement epaulets be obtained and fitted fairly easily (CVT top)?
Mine show minimal wear but it seems that their location leaves them open to stricking with a plectrum, dependant on your playing style. |

Location: Seymour, Tennessee | Yes it's normal, two of my three Elites (an 88 Collector's, a 1718 and an 87 Collector's, the later two bought used) show it except for my 88 Collector's which has never seen a pick.
Somebody will chime in on replacements but I'm pretty sure it would have to be a factory job. |
