She's going to have to shorten that strap up a bit to reach the bottom neck

It could be worse. There could be multiple pickups for each neck. Think of the endless possibilities if you toss in some VIP technology as well. Also, how about mixing up the body configurations? Without regard to the engineering issues, there could be a solid body on top, a bowl for the next three that progresses from super shallow to deep, then a wood box on the bottom? A mando and/or uke as well? Didn't some artist use a double-neck guitar/banjo combo years ago?

If I were in a position to order a doubleneck, mine would be like Jewel (s/s LX, -4 finish, bling trim) and the other neck would be nylon strings, with a 1 11/16 neck in slothead for small hands. Now that would be fun...... :)
As for the multiple-necked mutation above, well, you'd need to have one really good chiropractor on call after you're finished playing. (At least I would.)

Another interesting doubleneck.
A 2 x 4 string bass fretted and fretless if I'm right.
Custom built for Jonas Hellborg

I've had these pics from a Japanese fan.

How old are those pics?

he's been a Wechter endorsee for a long time now.

And I think you're right about the fretted/fretless.
He always reminds me of Vai and Satriani - technically awesome but as musical as watching paint dry. But what do I know? Nothing.

I don't know Schroeder.
According the kind guy who sent me the pics, this instrument was for sale on Ebay some years ago.
Maybe someone do remember that Bass???

That's all I know... :(
