| Didn't find anything in the tiny pdf manual about this, but wondering if there is a way to get a nonstandard tuning to remain as the default tuning setting in the OP-30. I set it to another tuning (432hz) and it worked once, but when I went back to use it again, the tuning went back to default 440hz.

Location: Sunny Miami, Florida | I'd be happy to keep my OP-30 in the guitar. I can't see what's broken, but the right side refuses to click into place. I have to jam a small piece of paper in it to hold it in there.

| I have realized that, like most tuners, the OP30 can be temporarily set to non standard tuning but will always revert to standard. Even my snark does that. Was just curious... |

If by "right side" you meant the side without the button, there should be a lip on the housing (can) and a rectangular "slot" on the module... on the gray front part, just above the black body.
If you are missing either the lip on the can or if the slot is broken... that is your problem.
These can be broken by improperly putting the module in incorrectly.
If you are talking about the side with the push button on it, check to see if the retractable lip is extending correctly. Or, if the rectangular slot in the can is deformed.
If either part of the can is broken you can contact the MotherShip (repair shop) to get another can.

I do not know anything about using the "calibrate" function to reset the tuner.
But I believe that you are correct in that it resets to default after you use it.
HERE is a Manual.
I hope that this helps.

| Thanks again for the quick feedback, OMA...all you have to do is tune one string to the non-standard (I use string 6-E), touch the tuning button 2x, and the tuning will adjust. Then use the tuner to tune the rest of the strings.
