This is just for those here who are suffering or whose family is suffering. There are a few.

Last week to mark the second anniversary of the end of surgery/radiotherapy/chemotherapy I had a full PET scan rather than my usual nasendoscopy. I'm all clear from head to toe.
When you're in the darkest part of the tunnel always remember that there is a light at the end no matter how far away it seems. Never stop believing and never give up. It's half the battle and more. There is life after cancer and it isn't always a death sentence. Believe it.

No replies are needed or required to this - those that need it understand, and those that don't need it I hope you never understand.

I tried scanning my pets, they were not very pleased. I use a camera now.

So, you had a colonoscopy as well?

Since the inside is now clean, can you work on the outside?

Congrats Clive. That's great news.

schroeder,

Congratulations on a great checkup.

BTW; You had to know we would reply and at the slightest chance we would throw in a little humor.

Great news, Clive. And let all your old school teachers know too - I'm sure they'll be happy to hear that you finally passed a test that didn't involve a specimen bottle.

Poor guy.

He just gets the all clear from the big 'c' and Muzza threatens to visit him at Christmas.

Rotten luck.

My wife has not been as lucky after 12 years so we need to see how it goes.

I am happy to hear of your progress!

I am also very happy to hear your good news. My parents both had struggled with cancer over the past two years, and they have survived the battle. I am only sad to say that I have lost some really good friends to cancer also, but the loss has made a significant impact on my life. Each day I now take every opportunity to live life to its fullest, to hug my kids, to tell my wife I love her, and make a concentrated effort to not get caught up in foolish quarrels that strain relationships. Life is way too short to hold on to those grudges that keep our families apart. Thanks again for the reminder.
