Anyone know what make of tuners were put on these guitars? They certainly are not like the originals. I would like to buy some wood buttons for them...but I have no idea which ones will fit. Thanks and...Merry Christmas to everyone

I'm not sure those buttons are replaceable.

nope you cannot swap those buttons.

I do have sets of the old schaller gears that should work but you may have to alter the hole for them....
those you can put any buttons you want and I have 4 types ebony rosewood bone and horn
they may be slightly heavier

The tuners on the JW Reissue are Schaller Hauser tuners. You can't change the buttons too easily, since you would have to glue new buttons onto them.

If you want other buttons and an easy swap, get yourself the new Schaller GrandTune classical Hauser tuners, they are available with a lot of different buttons.

Or do as Al said and switch to Schaller M6 tuners, which needs a bit of adjusting the holes. So did I - and I used the good Templeman buttons.

Best regards, Kurt
