Hi all, I have a very nasty, regular crackling/popping going on with my output jack, including the output shutting off completely (only sporadically...can see signal on the mixing board but almost inaudible output). Can it be fixed with a re-solder of the existing jack, or should it be replaced, and with what (recommendations) ?

Thanks!

The jack cable plugs into the "Can" or the housing of the Preamp.
If you can find a jack with a compatible plug for the housing it would be a simple swap.
I think that it is a 3.5mm plug.

You could contact Ovation. http://www.ovationguitars.com/contact

I know Nothing about soldering except that I am not good at it.
