Now THAT is an awesome tribute! The perfect mix of clever and heart-warming. Curious as to what model you used for it.

I am not positive about this Patch, but...
I think that Alison passed all of her shop on to her friends in Hot Springs, SD.
She had some students that she was really fond of.
I sold her an iDea guitar that she gave to one of her young'uns.
I later sold her an Elite T, and she gave that to a student as well.
Since she had time to "Get her affairs in order"
I am sure that she made sure that all of her guitars have homes.

Hey Alison... You are missed.

The last time I talked to her she said the best thing about dying was that she got to boss people around. She told me I had to come out and drive the Needles highway through Custer State Park. That was her gift to me.

it will be on the next cd, The J&B Brothers, early 2017. I didn't put in all the changes but you can follow it pretty easily.

I made a trip to Rapid City, SD a couple of years ago and wanted to make a side-trip down to Hot Springs to meet Alison, etc. Rapid City is about 50 or so miles from Hot Springs.

When I mentioned this to her, she said that 50 miles in SD is different from 50 miles anywhere else, as if to say that 50 miles is small potatoes.

Pam and I also did those miles.
Badlands, Needles Hwy, Mt Rushmore, Devils Tower, and... an afternoon with Alison.

I thought about heading over there again about a year ago, but we decided to go somewhere new instead. The places will always be there, the people won't. Great song, Beal. That falls into my category of "wish I had said that."

I made the trip to her guitar shop a few times. The Needles Hwy is best experienced on a motorcycle. One time my brother and I stopped in to visit Alison in our leathers. She didn't know who we were until I told her. Then we had a big laugh when she was getting ready to throw us out. My brother tips the scales at over 260. I do miss her.
