Has Ovation started new? Korean signature series knockoffs now???? Whats anyone think of the idea that all these korean guitars are said to have a AAA spruce top with a select veneer/top,doesn't make sense to me if its AAA it should look great on its own. Just sharing what I saw on new models.

ME guitars should be Adamii with Carbon Fiber laminate tops. Here is that Kaki King listing at Sweetwater. http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/2078KK5S Notice that it is a different model (2078KK-5S) so it is a contour Elite. I guess that Kaki is entitled to endorse as many models as she likes. But I will always consider the Adamas with the cloud gasket epaulet as the real deal.

Hey OMA that's what I thought also, the real deal for each of these ladies guitars were Adamas,I saw the different model number, the ME is listed as 2078ME6P instead of W597MEII so apparently we now have korean signature series models. I am hoping that DW has some good quality control oversight there now. Also, I was thinking that I have owned some very nice Korean Ultras and Celebrity's. And my 1778TX wasn't too bad. (until I compared it to a USA 1778T). And I have owned some nice Asian Steinbergers, Parkers, Epiphones and other guitars.... Then I thought... I ain't paying over a Thousand dollars for any Asian Ovation regardless of whose signature is on it.

I think the list price was $1999 and MAP $1399 or thereabouts. BTW, I saw a lot of women zooming in on these models. Teere is a great market for them I think.
