| Hello all,
New here ... with a problem I hope you can help me with. I have an Ovation CE778 serial nr 568888 from 2003 and its OP 50 preamp is not functioning properly anymore. Apparently you cannot get these anymore and so I got the OP Pro from Thomann (Germany) who assured me that it would work. But it does not, the connectors are totally different. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Can it be solved?

Location: Keepin' It Weird in Portland, OR | Thomann should have sent you a new "can" with the OP-Pro.
I have never actually seen an OP-50 in person...
But the OP-20, 30, and 40 have different electrical connection tabs.
Like I said, You need an OP-Pro can with eight connectors.
Then all you need to do is loosen the the Phillips-head screws and swap the cans.
