Location: Connecticut | Hey all. I was perusing Craigslist and came across this 1718. I've never seen a bridge and saddle like this before. The finish doesn't look compromised, so is this something original or a well done replaced bridge?

Location: Hot Springs, S.D. | Looks to me like there is NO saddle. Maybe the action was too high so he pulled the saddle out. Then he decided to lower it even more by cutting out the high end of the bridge. I've seen even stranger things done by people who know nothing about guitars and think they don't need a professional's help. |

Location: sitting at my computer | Jonmark Stone - Looks like an RMC pickup. I'm thinking that too, but it's difficult to tell from those pics. Barbera's look sorta similar too though. ??? Good question to ask the seller. If it is a RMC pickup, don't they require a Poly-Drive preamp? ...or can it be connected to the OP-24?? |

I believe I've read the RMC can be installed as a traditional mono PUP.
I think the Poly-Drive pre is only necessary if you want to use as a Midi trigger with a separate lead for all 6 piezos. |
