Location: New England | Greetings from New England. In my previous life, when I lived in Moosup, CT., I was a guitar maker for Kaman. I just bought a Vintage Applause, and I am going to learn to play guitar at the ripe old age of 55. Maybe, I should refer to myself as vintage, too! |

Location: Keepin' It Weird in Portland, OR | Hey Beau, I also decided to learn guitar before I died.
First I bought a $97 pseudo-Strat starter kit for a 49th Burstday Present.
Less than a year later, I bought my first Ovation in 2006.
Learning new things keeps your brain working.

I think that all of our moderators are in New England for the Grand Re-opening of the New Hartford factory, which is Tomorrow.

Location: New England | Hey Arthur thanks for the reply, encouragement and information on the reopened Ovation factory. As fate would have it, I used to live the Awesome Pacific Northwest! |

Location: New England | Actually, I sanded over 100 Applause, Matrix, Balledeer bowls a day! Today I received a delay very of a Vintage 1977 Applause acoustic electric in sunburst. After I was laid off as a guitar maker in 1980 I moved over to Kaman Aerospace till 1986. |
