Hello,

Would appreciate any info on an MRCP2001 I normally play Martins for my acoustic shows, but I picked this one up because I like the feel for playing leads on it during loops, etc. And it seems like a quality instrument, even though it's not one of the USA made ones. The link for a "CP2001" on the Ovation website does not go anywhere. I haven't found an explanation of the "MR" letters in the model number either. Mine has a "Limited Edition" MOP inlay in the fretboard also, and I'm not sure if that's normal for this model.

Any ideas?

All CP2001 guitars are "limited editions"
As far as I can tell they are Celebrity CS257 guitars with extra bling.
And they all seem to be Red.
They may have been custom orders for a particular retailer.

But since you own one you probably know all that.
