I typed a rather long question that did not post somehow. The short version is I was wondering a ball park value on a late 7o's Folklore? This is for purchase not a flip. My multiple searches does not give me much info.

Thanks, Jim

There are some that recently sold on eBay for around $400 plus shipping. HERE
But I think that these are "Rainbow Label" 79-81 models.
So I don't know if this is really helpful.

I got mine for a steal several years ago, so it doesn't count, but $400 should be the low end of the ballpark.

I can't comment on what these are going for in the US, but what I can say is I just love my '81 1614.

It's a beautiful guitar to play, especially fingerstyle.

FWIW, there's a Folklore with case for sale here in SoCal for $449.

Thanks for the info. As my laptop crashed and my wife's tires blowing out I'll most likely pass.

There is a very nice Folklore 1114 now for sale on Craig's List Columbus. Looks like new and at a great price. I've got one and love it.

Ok, what's the difference between a 1614 and a 1114?

The 6 means it has a pickup and preamp.

Do I carry the 1?

Anyways, thanks for the info, I think I have been educated enough about this model and my math.
