So I went to the Hardware Store for some little bolts...
Then I was going to the Franz Bakery Outlet store for discount Oatmeal cookies...
As I rode my bicycle passed the Pawn Shop I decided to look inside.
There were many guitars hanging there, then I saw an Ovation Rosette.

I had to look in the sound-hole to be sure that this wasn't a Celebrity.
It is a 1151 Standard Balladeer from 1995.
That model is acoustic-only, but someone put-in a direct-out undersaddle pickup.
I think that the frets have been "dressed"... maybe more than once. But they are Okay.
It was strung like a Rickenbacker, but the nut hasn't been re-cut. I will string it normal.
No cracks, and the action is okay. And it came with a case!

Less than three Benjamin's.
Now I really need to sell some guitars.

Your pawn shops are WAY better than ours. There's only one that I know of in town and it's decidedly underwhelming in the guitar department.

Enjoy the new toy

We had a pawn shop downtown run by a guitar player and it was one of my favorite noon haunts. Bought an Applause 12 string there. Then it moved, but was still on my way home and I'd stop once in a while, but only bought strings and such. It closed this summer and I didn't even make it to the liquidation sale. Another business that I failed to keep afloat.
