She has also been taken to court (what I understand) for issues surrounding access to glen by other family members. It has been an issue that has caused a lot of family issues to be aired in public, not to mention the rumblings from the cheap seats. It just may be that Glen doesnt have much time left and she wants him home. Whatever it is, it is probably none of our business. Moreover, it is very sad.

She always knew who I was when I'd come over. I'm sure every bit of recognition was a bright spot for her. There's not much you can recognize in a managed facility.

Jay has summed up some of the issues very well but who knows what is really going on there?? That being said if someone is giving you a black eye then he is definitely a management issue! I spent years caring for Alzheimers patients and it is really beyond a challenge to care for them at home once they reach the advanced stages. Which is why most of them end up in institutions.

That's kinda what I was getting at. It's REALLY tough home-caring for an AZ patient in the late stages. Maybe with full time care coming in to help out....

They sold the house and moved into an independent living apartment and she didn't like leaving their home, but now the new place is home and she has difficulty being anywhere else. It really takes a full time caregiver and it may be best for Kim or family to be with Glen all the time. At least he still recognizes them, which will give him some comfort.

He just became unpredictable and engaged in some unsafe activities, they felt. Obviously something has changed, for them to bring him home. I have no doubt they are still able to afford the best care for him and are doing so. Glen is a pretty big guy, so I am sure when he wants his way, it could get ugly pretty fast.

And we are all rightly concerned about the fate of one of our true musical heroes!! But I do respect your respect for their privacy!

The Campbell's decided to make the ordeal public and for a purpose, so the rest of the world could see the good bad and ugly of the situation. I'm not sure if they want all of this family squabble biz out there, but they made the decision to go public, and the disease doesn't stop with the closing credits on the movie.
