I have decided to part with my beloved 91 Adamas 1688-2 12er.
Bought it new in 92 and used it only in the studio. Usual fret wear on 1st 2nd 3rd but an amazing action and not a single mark on her anywhere...immaculate. Asking $2400 and worth every penny then some. Hard shell Ovation Case and original manuals included. Lower 48 only.

I just bought a 1688 and they are outstanding guitars! Worth every penny of the asking price.
Good luck with the sale Max!

Sounds like choir.. 1688's don't come up very often and certainly not one in this pristine condition at this price. Not posted or sale anywhere else ..

Yeah... Just put it up last night after someone said it would be the best place to get a decent price for it. it was not there when i posted that statement.. but not much interest here.. never sold anything on ebay and a little intimated about it.

That's my target guitar and I'm sure that I'm not the only one. It's a pity that I don't live in your beautiful country....

Unfortunately, I have more interest than cash at the moment. Going forward, it's going to be more and more difficult to pry these types of beautiful guitars from their new owners hands. And as general interest has been growing, the prices are going up as well. I think this guitar is a great deal at this price, especially compared to what you would spend on a Taylor...

$2400 is dirt cheap. I wouldn't sell mine that cheaply......

OK Max. I think you've just confused many of us. Is she for still for sale or have you decided to keep her.

What I'd like to add is this...I've seen several top notch guitar bargains (including this one) here lately that our members just sit and watch. I'd encourage our members to move and take advantage of these great deals. The 1688 Max has for sale here is a phenomenal guitar. I just bought a 1688 a few months ago and I'm still blown away by it. These guitars will never be made again so you don't want to see it sold on Ebay and then think..."wow, I coulda, shoulda had that beauty!

Jim is right for sure. That guitar is worth every dime not to mention 1688's rarely come up for sale. Last Adamas II 12 on eBay sold for $3400 and change if I recall and it was a II not a I.

Max, someone who just paid you 24 hundreds - surely he (she) loves Ovation also ;-) Congrats with sale! Alex.

Sorry it didn't stay in the family but hopefully it will be played and appreciated. Everyone that plays and hears mine can't believe how loud and wonderful it sounds. And that's just the way I like it.
