Basically it´s an Adamas 2087 GT. I added an armrest, soundholes, a brass saddle, ebony pegheads and a new trossrod cover (made of the rest of the epaulets..).

With the new soundholes the guitar sounds better, more open, stereo-like with more definition of higher notes. The one-side soundholes were not the best idea.

Deep contour bowl. Very lightweight guitar. No fretwear. Sounds and plays great, pretty LOUD.

Oh, the $$$...open for suggestions, thinking about 1800?

I'm not seeing the photos (on my work computer and my iPhone). Is it just me?

Can you explain the modifications to the soundholes a bit more? And how does a brass saddle work with the PU/transducer?

I believe that he means a brass Nut.

Sorry, brass nut. Saddle is the german word, sometimes I´m a bit confused.
There are no modifications to the soundholes, I just added some, the soundholes on the lower side are new. When I got the guitar, I found that the sound was too (how to explain..)muddy, too thin. I´ve already made many experiments with soundholes and/or soundports on other guitars. Remember the little additional soundports on the upper bout of the guitars of Robert Ruck, it´s amazing how the overall acoustic range of a guitar opens with them. I had tested it with another Adamas which had these soundholes already (I used the Adamas airlocks) and decided to order an original epaulet from Ovation and after making rure not to destroy any braces at that place I simply made new holes..finally even one more of the smaller ones than on the primary pattern.
The only reason for thinking about giving this guitar away is that I fell in love with the `87 bearclaw and need a little "increase of capital" for it...and after all I´ll have my 1687 left thus it´s only a luxury problem, I know .
Someday I must ask old man arthur how to place pics here, I tried it for hours and hours, and the last surprise was that dropbox permanently turned my pics 90 degrees..I´m too old and above all too stupid for this.Thank you for your help!

I can Vouch for DetlefMichel's Perfect Packing and Shipping!

I bought his 1869 Ovation Flag, and it arrived absolutely beautifully packed and boxed!
He is Wonderful to deal with! If this was eBay, I would give him AAAAA+++++!

I hope you get the BearClaw, it would be a Wonderful addition to your Collection!

I´m afraid the ´87 is sold. It was removed from ebay and I got no answers from the seller. More luck next time...
Besides that, I always do pack guitars like this, because one day I got a wonderful vintage Hofner Jazz Guitar send "naked" in a box.You can imagine that there was not much guitar left when I opened it. Since that day I always have plenty of bubblefoil in my cellar;-)
