Nice. The 87C was definately one of he best of the collectors series and you don't see them come up for sale very often. Good deal for somebody.

In that price range, somebody might be able to talk me out of my 1987-5. (Remember the black ones with the cool Kaman Music Group labels?) #44 0f 100 and in excellent shape.

You'd have to work at though. It's one of my very favorite guitars.

Don't know that the market will bear the price, but owning an 87C, I can say that it's price competitive when looking at other guitars in that price range ($2500-$3000).....

What about the strange looking gap in the binding. Is it possible that a guitar like that was made so superficially or is the top about to work loose? Any ideas?

I'd say that the top is working loose, or has come loose.
He sez that it was made that way by the factory.
A few dings here-n-there, and the tuner stays on on the preamp.
He doesn't mention the dings on the epaulet.
And he doesn't offer returns.
I think that he is delusional.

Until the picture of the eBay, I hadn't seen another...I remember hearing that five of the Collectors had Bear Claw.

This guitar came through Samova (Sam) to Bruce (Noah) and now with me here on the wall above my desk next to the pre-production slothead #50, Takamine 45th Anniversary, and the 30th Anniversary Custom Legend 1719-30CM. More beautiful than the picture.
