| I now have an Ovation Celebrity that was bought by the po while he was in Germany. The SN is 236230 and the model number is CC67.
Looking at the data base for ovation production gives a date range of 1981. But Celebrities were made much later.
Any ideas as to when it was made. PO thought he bought in the 90's.
BTW, in the case was a set or original Kamen strings. Price? DM25.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Location: Boise, Idaho | I actually typed up a serious answer, but I must have failed to hit the "submit" button. I guess I have to give a smart a answer. SWMBO won't allow me to date Celebrities, or anyone else for that matter.
This question has come up many times in the last 10 years and is actually the reason that I found this site. No one has ever been able to figure out how the Celebrity serial numbers have any relationship to the date of manufacturer. |
