The guitar has a repaired top crack and some minor surface cracks (I think from the point where the top crack once began). The repair was well done, the guitar sounds and plays (and looks) like a dream. But I need little money to pay another Vintage Adamas find that I could not resist....

I bought this guitar in repaired state from "the fellowship of acoustics", and I never got bad guitars from these guys. Besides that the guitar is absolutely clean. I just love my Adamas guitars a -little-more...Location is Germany.

By the way, you've got a nice little Adamas collection going there. Let me know if you decide you want to sell your Adamas 12 string.

I love these old A-braced CL and right yesterday I bought a lamentable `79 CL 1658 with a real bad made neckreset, some surface cracks but still a beauty -SUNBURST! A couple of weeks ago I bought a wretched ´82 collector´s and I had it sent immediately to the small OV repair department who kindly accepted to nearly re-build the guitar. Needless to say that I recently got an offer from a guy in south-Germany who did know that he had a good guitar for sale but did not now what kind of guitar. It´s still on the road with DHL - a real old 1687, I guess from the late 70´s. Be honest-COULD I HAVE REFUSED? No.http://www.ovationfanclub.com/megabbs/images/emoticons/cool.gif

These guitars were made for a major Japanese distributor that was very fussy. They are unique as well. It was very costly to have a unit returned, therefore Nakau guitars were a step above standard models off the line. I would love to buy yours, always wanted an N769...not sure if the timing is good though. You're really at the pinnacle with this one.

But I have too many guitars...that´s it. And I must say that I prefer my 2087 when I want to play with a cutaway. These are luxury problems, I know, I know...

I still have my old 1687 and three (Yes: THREE) 1688's and never will sell them. Sometimes I was thinking of selling one of them, but after all it was good to hold on them. They are doing good jobs on stage and in studio year after year. Enjoy your new Baby. Congratulations again :-)
