Location: Bristol England | Can anyone tell me how the neck on myCustom Legend 1869 (1992 ) is fastend to the body and, if it is bolt on are there any problems in removing and replacing it?
Thanks James. |

If it bolts on, it's just a matter of splitting the glue joint holding the fretboard extension to the sound board, then unbolting the neck from the body. |

Location: Bristol England | Hi Dan,
No bolts visible so it's staying where it is.
Thanks again James |

Location: Pueblo West, CO | You might want to double-check whether it's got a bolt-on neck by using a mirror to look inside the bowl.
The 1869 uses a SSB, which means it's only got one bolt holding the neck onto the body. As I recall when I did a neck reset on my friends 1983 CE, the bolt was set rather close to the top and wasn't really visible without the use of a mirror.
There's a couple of necks for sale on eBay right now. One is a 2-bolt neck and the other is a 1983 CE 1-bolt neck. These should give you a good idea about what you're looking for.

I also found a video on YouTube showing how to remove an 1869 neck and it's definitely a bolt-on neck:
