My Pacemaker output jack was crackling so I took it out for a look. Looks like there is a swtich which closes when a cable is plugged in, but I when I took it out it seemed to be closed, even when unplugged. Should the switch be closed? The battery does not seem to have been depleted so possibly it was nearly closed and I closed it on the process of pulling it out? Sorry didnt remember to take a photo.
