I've long been fascinated by George Martin's genius in taking the Beatles material that in and of itself sounds somewhat rough and 'live' (and sometimes just plain haphazard!) and making it sound the way he did. A few years ago I discovered this site Steve\'s Beatles Page where you'll find not only all the lyrics, but which album each song is available on, recording dates, mix dates, takes used, who sang it and various anomalies found in the recordings. ...uh.
