Surfing the net I found this guitar for sale (not mine) listed as Elite 6778 LX 5M contour limited edition. I never seen a top like that on a elite and I was curious to hear your opinions.....

No fret markers? Odd.

The 2 piece maple neck is not a standard LX neck, more like a T neck. It looks to have the glued on heel, which makes it a TX neck.

The finish is either real carbon fiber or some kind of decal. They do make fake carbon fiber stick-ons. The pickguard must be an aftermarket item.

I would ask for close-up pictures of the label, the serial number, and the epaulets (to look for evidence of a stick-on fake carbon fiber finish).

This one worries me without better information about the history.

I've got a B5768 (?) 5-string bass that in all ways seems to be a stock Elite bass but it has a CF top just like that (sans the creepy pick guard). So stranger things have happened. Best way to make sure it's really CF is to get a photo of the underside of the top/braces.

Unless the underside is a decal too. I mean, that's what Weaser would do....

The other way is to measure the thickness of the top. CF tops are a lot thinner than wooden ones. Even Weaser couldn't fake that!

That bowl appears to be a contour, which means the model # should start with 20 rather than 67. So a 2078 might be correct, but not a 6778.
