I thought these guys did a good rendition.

Anyone out there able to teach me how to play it? I suck at Tabs.

Helplessly Hoping on an Adamas

I wonder if any of them are OFC members? They fit the demographic - they're old.

Give that Bald guy an OFC hat!
I search a bunch of their other clips...
They are pretty good. As someone posted in the comments...
"And they look like they are having a great time"

And yeah, they play a bunch of that Old People Music!
I like it! :p

There was an interview with Crosby on the CBS Sunday Morning program yesterday. Talk about old. The problem I have with CSN stuff is they sing too high. I can't reach those notes anymore. These guys could still hit 'em.

The great thing about covering CSN material is that they couldn't hit those notes either, so when you strain to get it, it sounds right.

I dunno about THAT . . .

When I saw the '77Tour (the black, CSN album) they were DeadSolidPerfect - every song, night after night . . .

Damn, I missed that Crosby interview on CBS "SundayMorning" . . . I wanted to see that . . .

Caught it, I never knew he had an older son he gave up for adoption back in the 60's. He is a musician now and they play together from time to time. I only caught these guy's once a long time ago but it was one of the greatest shows I have ever attended. I do some of their stuff but no matter how you try and sing parts of the harmony's doing them Solo just does not cut it like it should.

Nice adamas that guy's playing. Wonder where ya could find one?

Might have been referring to present day: I've seen them 5 times since the early 70's...last time was in the 80's Crosby was so stoned he almost fell off the stage and left for a while before coming back...they sounded ok but not as good as in the 70's...I saw a concert on VH1 Classic over the holidays...not sure when it was taped but it was recent...Crosby sounded much better but all were straining to stay on pitch...but again, time is not a respecter of persons...I still like em...(one of my favorite albums was Graham Nash's "Songs for Beginners"...fantastic album!

His is a different color, but I like his darker blue better. Unfortunately, the tax man isn't going to refund any of my money. I always have to pay more. Usually makes my April birthday a bit frugal, but last year we had enough left to make the down payment on the OFC guitar.

It appears in that first clip that someone else is playing offstage (or it's lame video editing). Watch the guitarist's hands at the end of the song.

...edit. Never mind. It's lame video editing. They used that same clip at the start and end, and it's been slowed down....

I found The Wheezetones about a year ago on youtube and enjoy their cover work. They're sometimes joined by a 3 piece brass section that call themselves XXX Horn Stars.

Had a band thing going for a short while a few years back that imploded. While we were at our best in the practice room we had 49 reasons down and it sounded perfect. Dam we had some nice potential for some great set lists and fun but it was nott o be. Since then I have tried a few more times with some musicians but we never had the three vocals again. Three voices that can really sing well is rare, CSN is a must do band if you get lucky enough to have this option. They have some fantastic music.
I am sorry about the timing on the sale of some of my guitars, Some things can't be planned. The Deacon needs to stay in this group! The Adamas is killer. ! Someone will be very happy. It is nice to see someone using one of these great guitars on stage with a band!
They look very professional!
