Is there anyone who remembers what bracing pattern corresponds to the prefix K-3 and K-5 that you find in the '80s brochures ?

The "k" prefix stands for a special X-bracing similar to that old "X" used on the old balladeer guitar, but with 2 additional slightly convergent straight braces from the bridge to the upper bouts. The lines of this construction on ervery side are similar to a K then.

I'm a bit confused. I own an old custom balladeer (1973) that infact exhibit a modified X bracing. I found then in the -Ovation Specification Information- brochure of 1986 referred to the balladeer and custom balladeer, literally " K-5 is a modified version of Ovation's famous A brace". That's why I asked .. .
And what about the mysterious K-3 ?

Also K-3 seems to be a "variation" of the A brace .......

I found that also the K5 is a "modified version" of the famous Ovation A brace. It would be interesting to see how it looks like.
