On the bright side, Oxnard is a nice part of California...

On a red blanket, no doubt.

Funny they would set up in California, one of the more expensive states for manufacturers to operate (although less than Connecticut...) Why not in S.D., or Alabama, or somewhere cheap?

I wonder how much of equipment was originally purchased to make Ovations.
And I wonder if some Ovation specific equipment is making it's way across the pacific.
.
Well...they get to have a fresh start so good for Guild.
On second thought.... I don't really care one way or another.

I'm so glad to see that Guild survived, and that they're in the process of making their transition. Stevie Ray Vaughn used to play a killer Guild 12-string...hope you all don't mind my sharing it from the Y-tube...

It's great to hear about Mr. Budny getting back into the game...there's still gotta be some kind of a market for higher-end Ovations out there. Maybe in a few years there will be limited runs of new USA Ovations available...here's to dreamin'

Never owned a Guild, but I think they are an icon of guitar Americana and for many reasons...one being they made a damn good guitar that was embraced by quite a few folk and pop legends.  I am glad that Guilds are still going to be made in America. You almost get that "writing on the wall" feeling, as much as Guild has been transitioned from one company and factory to another...

You know, us old folks get nostalgic about these things...

It seems that Guild weathered a few storms and detrimental upheavals, but their recent product coming out of N.H. earned a loy of praise and respect. Let's hope that their new home can keep up the high standard that has been set.
