I just remembered that inlay from ages ago. http://www.ovationfanclub.com/cgi-bin/ubb/cgi/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=ge... It's not the same one (no big blue sticker in the bowl), but I think it's the same sort. I would say from the previous discussion (which was interesting to read words I have no recollection of writing...) that it's not a USA one, but from Korea. JB

The back of the headstock looks like it's a multipiece neck, and the serial number is six digit beginning with 5, making it less than ten years old. However, the preamp is an OP-24+, which I don't think I have ever seen on a Legend or an Elite, just Balladeers and Standard Elites. Looks to me like someone's project or a custom guitar. Odd!

The celebs I have are all silver-stickered, and the Elite 1858 and Viper I have from USA are stamped on the back of the headstock. I really thought that was the qualifier, but I may be wrong...
